Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has announced a series of nominations for key positions within the Navy. The President has made several selections, which include reappointments and new assignments.
Navy Adm. Daryl L. Caudle is nominated for reappointment to the grade of admiral with a new role as Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He is currently leading the U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.
Navy Rear Adm. Michael P. Donnelly is set to be appointed to vice admiral and will take on the role of commander for the Seventh Fleet in Yokosuka, Japan. Donnelly's current position is director of the Air Warfare Division, N98, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.
Rear Adm. Thomas M. Henderschedt will be appointed to vice admiral and serve as director of Intelligence, J-2, Joint Staff at the Pentagon. He presently works as director of Integration and Associate Director of Military Affairs at the Central Intelligence Agency located in Washington Navy Yard.
Vice Adm. Frederick W. Kacher is slated for reappointment to vice admiral with his upcoming assignment as director, Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Kacher currently commands the Seventh Fleet based in Yokosuka, Japan.
Rear Adm. Elizabeth S. Okano will be appointed to vice admiral and assigned as principal military deputy assistant secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) at the Pentagon. She now serves as Commander of Naval Information Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, California.
Lastly, Rear Adm. Curt A. Renshaw is nominated for vice admiral with an assignment as commander for U.S Naval Forces Central Command/commander Fifth Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces stationed in Manama, Bahrain. Renshaw's present duty is director of Operations J-3 at U.S Central Command located at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida.
