Senate Commerce Committee advances FAA nominee and five bills

Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation took significant actions by approving five bills and the nomination of Bryan Bedford as Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. The committee also voted to promote four Coast Guardsmen.

- S. 233, Restoring Confidence in the World Anti-Doping Agency Act of 2025, passed with amendments proposed by Blackburn.

- S. 254, ARTIST Act, passed with modifications from Sullivan.

- S. 434, Space Commerce Advisory Committee Act was approved following amendments by Peters-Wicker.

- S. 836, Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act saw amendments from Cruz and Fetterman before passing.

- S. 1872, Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act was amended by Blunt Rochester before being approved.

These legislative measures reflect a broad scope of issues under consideration by the committee.
