Treyian Jamal Mason, also known as Tray Mason, a 22-year-old resident of Coalgate, Oklahoma, has entered a guilty plea to the charge of possessing a stolen firearm. This offense carries a potential penalty of up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The indictment claims that on February 13, 2025, Mason knowingly possessed and concealed a stolen semi-automatic pistol, being aware or having reasonable cause to believe it was stolen.
The investigation leading to this charge involved several law enforcement agencies including the Coalgate Police Department, the Coal County Sheriff’s Office, the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma accepted Mason's plea and mandated a presentence investigation report. The final sentence will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge who will consider various factors including the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.
Until sentencing is finalized, Mason remains under the custody of the United States Marshals Service. The case is prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patrick M. Flanigan and Joshua Satter.
