Additionally, both countries have initiated negotiations on a civil nuclear cooperation agreement. These negotiations are part of advancing Executive Order 14299, "Deploying Advanced Nuclear Reactor Technologies for National Security," from the Trump Administration. The goal is to promote international civil nuclear cooperation, enhance American energy dominance, establish long-term strategic energy partnerships with allies and partners, and uphold high standards of nuclear safety, security, and nonproliferation.
