U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey sentenced Jordin White, a 24-year-old felon from St. Louis, to 97 months in prison on Tuesday. The sentence comes after White was found with firearms and drugs, including fentanyl and cocaine base.
White was first noticed by detectives from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Anti-Crime Task Force on April 29, 2024. He was in a stolen Chrysler 300 with a firearm magazine visible in his shorts pocket. Officers detained him and discovered a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun in his possession, along with an AR-style pistol loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition in the vehicle. They also found more ammunition, cash, a scale, and capsules containing fentanyl and cocaine base.
On June 5, 2024, the task force observed White conducting hand-to-hand transactions from an Audi A4 in a parking lot. Despite police efforts to stop him using spike strips, White drove off until losing control of the car and fleeing on foot while holding a Glock handgun equipped with a large-capacity drum magazine loaded with 32 rounds of ammunition. Six baggies containing marijuana were also found.
In March, White pleaded guilty to three felony counts: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
The case was investigated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Christian Goeke.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which aims to reduce violent crime through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities.
