Robert J. "Bob" Troester U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma

ADRIAN GOMEZ-OSORIO, a 40-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to 64 months in federal prison for illegally reentering the United States after a prior removal. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.

Public records indicate that Gomez-Osorio was found in the United States on October 17, 2024, despite having been previously removed to Mexico on July 2, 2020. He was encountered by immigration authorities following his arrest and charges in Oklahoma County District Court related to drug activity and fentanyl trafficking, for which he has been convicted under case number CF-2024-5079.

A federal Grand Jury charged Gomez-Osorio with illegal reentry into the United States on November 19, 2024. He pleaded guilty on February 14, 2025, admitting to knowingly reentering without proper consent.

U.S. Chief District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti sentenced Gomez-Osorio on July 23, 2025. In his remarks, Judge DeGiusti emphasized the importance of promoting respect for the law and protecting the public from future crimes by Gomez-Osorio.

The investigation leading to this case was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations to protect communities from violent crime perpetrators.
