Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) President and CEO Jeff Eshelman has expressed his support for recent acknowledgments by President Trump and Senator Dave McCormick regarding Pennsylvania's role in energy production. This follows the inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit held in Pittsburgh.
Eshelman said, "As a native Pennsylvanian, I’m proud to see President Trump and Senator McCormick recognize the commonwealth’s contribution to American energy dominance." He highlighted Pennsylvania's position as the second-largest energy producer in the United States. Eshelman emphasized that a diverse energy agenda, including nuclear and fossil fuels, benefits jobs, the national economy, local communities, national security, and international allies.
He described Pennsylvania's energy sector as "a literal powerhouse" crucial for domestic and global leadership. Eshelman also noted that the investments announced at the summit would enhance Pennsylvania's significant role in energy production. He concluded by stating that "the United States is the envy of the world in energy production," and that ongoing innovation will maintain America's leadership in technology.
