Senate confirms Sean Cairncross as National Cyber Director under Trump

Sean Cairncross has been confirmed by the United States Senate as the new National Cyber Director. In this role, he will act as President Trump’s main advisor on national cybersecurity policy and strategy.

Cairncross brings significant experience to his new position, having previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and as Senior Advisor to the White House Chief of Staff during President Trump’s first administration.
