The U.S. Department of Labor has introduced a new performance dashboard aimed at providing the public with detailed information about the effectiveness of federally funded Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs for adults, youth, and dislocated workers.

This dashboard compiles data from more than 550 local workforce development boards across the country, offering an in-depth look at how these programs are performing. The initiative is designed to improve transparency and accountability in the use of taxpayer funds for workforce development.

“This exciting new tool will help us ensure taxpayer-funded investments in our nation’s workers are fulfilling their intended purpose by giving state and local leaders a better understanding of what is working and what isn’t,” said Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer. “In line with President Trump’s executive orders, we will continue shining a light on performance outcomes, so we can be better stewards of Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars.”

The dashboard presents several key indicators from program year 2023, such as employment rates for participants after leaving a program, median earnings in the second quarter post-exit, credential attainment rates within one year after exiting, and measurable skills gains among training participants during the program year. It also includes figures on total participant counts, those who received training, and individuals engaged in Registered Apprenticeship programs.

Users can filter results by state or by specific local board names or codes. The platform allows public users to access and download all underlying data directly from the site.

Data for program year 2024 is expected to be added to the dashboard later in 2025.

More information about the WIOA Local Workforce Development Board Performance dashboard can be found on the Department of Labor’s website.
