U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Field Operations is set to hold its 14th annual Trade Day event in Detroit on August 20. The gathering will take place at Huntington Place downtown and is open to both industry professionals and the public at no cost. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the event running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees will have opportunities to interact with CBP personnel, Detroit Field Office trade staff, officials from the Canadian government, and representatives from various partner government agencies that are involved in trade facilitation and enforcement.
Director of Field Operations Marty C. Raybon said, “Our trade facilitation and enforcement missions are essential to our economic vitality, helping protect consumers and creating a level playing field for American businesses. Trade Day 2025 will really capture what that process looks like and how stakeholders can help us maintain a safe and robust trade system.”
The event will feature demonstrations and presentations on current programs, policies related to merchandise import/export, new initiatives, and regulations concerning trade operations. This year’s Trade Day introduces mobile enrollments for Trusted Traveler Programs such as Global Entry, NEXUS, and Free and Secure Trade for all conditionally approved applicants without requiring an appointment.
