A Cuyahoga County resident has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy involving fentanyl in Northeast Ohio. Andree L. Padgett, 35, of Euclid, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster after pleading guilty in April to charges that included conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, distribution of a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm with prior convictions for drug trafficking in 2016 and 2023.
Padgett will also serve four years of supervised release following his imprisonment. The sentencing took place on August 28, 2025.
Court documents show that between June 27 and July 13, 2023, Padgett and two co-conspirators participated in selling illegal substances containing fentanyl across Northeast Ohio. The group sold more than 300 grams of fentanyl during this period. On two occasions, Padgett also sold six firearms along with the drugs.
Due to his criminal history, Padgett was classified as a career offender.
Co-defendant Ambray N. Underwood, 27, of Cleveland was previously sentenced to nine years in prison and three years of supervised release. Another co-defendant, Tashaun N. Bell, 24, of Maple Heights received a sentence of nearly four years in prison and three years of supervised release. Both pleaded guilty to their roles in the conspiracy.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) investigated the case.
Assistant United States Attorneys Brian S. Deckert and Matthew W. Shepherd prosecuted the case for the Northern District of Ohio.
