The incident in question occurred on June 16, 2025. According to the indictment, the firearm was fitted with a machinegun conversion device (MCD), which converts a semiautomatic weapon into a fully automatic one.
If convicted, Spencer faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing will depend on the seriousness of the offense and any prior criminal history.
Assistant United States Attorney Kelly M. Locher is handling the prosecution for the government. The investigation was conducted by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
