FCI Allenwood inmate receives 21-month sentence for weapon possession

Eric Rodriguez, a 32-year-old inmate at FCI Allenwood, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for possessing contraband. The sentencing was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann.

According to Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus, Rodriguez was indicted by a federal grand jury after authorities discovered him with a razor blade that had a handle fashioned from electrical tape during a random pat search. Rodriguez pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing contraband in prison before his sentencing.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation into the incident. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robin Zenzinger prosecuted the case.
