Arizona man pleads guilty to sexual abuse charge involving threats

An Arizona man has pleaded guilty to sexual abuse involving the use of threats and intimidation. Court documents state that Fernando Yatsatie, Jr., 47, a member of the Zuni Pueblo, committed the offense in August 2021 by engaging in a sexual act with a victim who was placed in fear.

Yatsatie faces a potential sentence of up to life in prison. If released, he will be required to serve at least five years and up to life under supervised release.

The case was investigated by the Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office with support from the Zuni Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Marshall is prosecuting.
