U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, has moved the committee’s upcoming executive session from October 8 to October 21, 2025. The meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time in Russell Senate Office Building Room 253.
The agenda for the session includes several nominations and legislative items. Among those being considered are Harry Kumar of New York for Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, Joyce Meyer of Virginia for Under Secretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs, and Seval Oz of California for Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Research and Technology.
The committee will also review multiple bills: S. 1070, the National STEM Week Act; S. 2126, the Integrated Ocean Observation System Reauthorization Act of 2025; S. 2245, the Digital Coast Act; S. 2357, Young Fishermen’s Development Extension Act; S. 2503, ROTOR Act; S. 2563, Global Investment in American Jobs Act of 2025; S. 2666, Foreign Robocall Elimination Act; and S. 2975, PIPELINE Safety Act of 2025.
