Teasdale Foods, Inc. has announced a recall of certain Taco Dinner Kits due to the potential presence of undeclared milk. The company stated that individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity could face serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.

The affected kits were distributed to Giant, Martin’s, and Aldi retail stores in several states, including Alabama, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Products involved in the recall are the Martin’s and Giant Crunchy Taco Dinner Kit (purple box; UPC: 68826757516; lot code 25257; Best if used by date: MAR 13 26) and the Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit (blue and yellow box; UPC: 4099100318715; lot code 25259; Best if used by date: MAR 15 26).

According to Teasdale Foods, "No illnesses have been reported to date associated with the implicated product." The recall was prompted after consumer complaints revealed that some taco dinner kits contained cocoa mix packets with milk instead of taco seasoning packets. The packaging did not indicate the presence of milk. An investigation found that the issue resulted from mislabeling by a third-party supplier responsible for the seasoning packets.

Consumers who have purchased these products are advised to return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund. Questions can be directed to teasdalecomplaints@teasdalefoods.com.
