During National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, the President issued a statement acknowledging the significant impact of Alzheimer’s disease on Americans and their families. The message recognized the challenges faced by patients, caregivers, and loved ones, while emphasizing ongoing efforts to advance research and innovation aimed at prevention, treatment, and a cure.
The President stated that an estimated 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease. He highlighted the work of the Make America Healthy Again Commission, which is focused on reforming food, health, and scientific systems to address chronic diseases.
The administration is also working to strengthen the nation’s scientific sector by supporting researchers in their pursuit of breakthroughs such as an Alzheimer’s cure. Efforts include maximizing federal research investments for greater results, reducing administrative burdens for scientists, and promoting standards intended to restore integrity and transparency within American science.
“With the unmatched talent of America’s scientists, innovators, and medical professionals, we will continue advancing the search for a cure and improving the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s. We stand with all who suffer from this disease and we remain steadfast in our resolve to end this disease once and for all,” said the President.
