A Richmond, Kentucky man, Glen Long, Jr., 48, has been sentenced to 360 months in prison for producing child pornography. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell.
According to court documents, the case began on July 28, 2023, when a mother contacted law enforcement after discovering her minor child had sent nude images to an unknown adult online in exchange for money related to the video game Roblox. Investigators reviewed messages on the victim’s cellphone and identified Long as the adult involved. Authorities reported that Long was aware the victim was 14 years old and misrepresented his own age as 16. When questioned by police, Long admitted to using the minor to produce explicit images.
Long will be required under federal law to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for release. After serving his prison term, he will remain under lifetime supervision by the U.S. Probation Office.
The sentencing was announced jointly by Paul McCaffrey, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Rana Saoud, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); and Sheriff Mike Coyle of Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation was led by HSI and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Roth prosecuted the case.
