Ohio man pleads guilty to conspiracy in drug trafficking case

Brady McKinley, a 46-year-old resident of Adena, Ohio, has pleaded guilty to participating in a drug trafficking conspiracy in the upper Ohio Valley. Court documents and statements presented during proceedings indicate that McKinley collaborated with others to distribute significant amounts of fentanyl and cocaine in Ohio County and other locations.

McKinley could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. The final sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge, who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other legal factors.

The prosecution is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carly Nogay. The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, Marshall County Drug Task Force, Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force (all funded through HIDTA), the Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, West Virginia State Police, Wheeling Police Department, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.

U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone oversaw the case.
