Mexican national sentenced for unlawful reentry in Eastern District of Oklahoma

Sergio Alejandro Olivas-Robledo, a 37-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry into the United States. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Olivas-Robledo was found in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, without legal authorization to be in the country. According to investigators from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office, he had previously been removed from the United States on September 11, 2008, and January 15, 2009. He did not have permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission before his return.

He pleaded guilty to one count of Unlawful Reentry of Removed Alien on November 10, 2025.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a federal initiative that brings together resources from agencies such as the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN). The operation aims to address illegal immigration and target transnational criminal organizations.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing in Muskogee. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jarrod Leaman represented the government during proceedings.
