A Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania resident has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges related to the production and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, according to an announcement from First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
The indictment names Anton Reed Sr., 33, as the sole defendant. Authorities allege that on or about July 8, 2022, Reed produced visual depictions involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The indictment further accuses Reed of possessing videos and still images showing the sexual exploitation of minors—including some prepubescent children under 12 years old—between December 10, 2022 and September 8, 2025.
If convicted, Reed faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and up to 30 years. He could also be fined up to $750,000. Sentencing will ultimately depend on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history.
Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca L. Silinski is prosecuting the case. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Allegheny County Police Department, and Wilkinsburg Police Department.
The prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood—a national initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating efforts among federal, state, and local agencies. "An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty," officials noted.
