The Higher Education and Workforce Development Subcommittee, led by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), will conduct a hearing on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. The session is titled “Building a Talent Marketplace: How LERs Empower Workers and Expand Opportunity.” It will take place in room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
The hearing aims to examine how Learning and Employment Records (LERs) can support workers and increase opportunities within the labor market. Witnesses scheduled to testify include Scott Pulsipher, President of Western Governors University; Greg DiDonato, Vice President of Business Development at EBSCO Information Services; Scott Cheney, Chief Executive Officer of Credential Engine; and Alex Kaplan, Advisor for the American Association of College Registrars and Admission Officers.
