Deputy Secretary Landau meets Bolivian Foreign Minister Aramayo in Washington

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Bolivian Foreign Minister Fernando Aramayo in Washington, D.C., according to a statement from Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott.

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary Landau emphasized the United States’ ongoing support for Bolivia as the two countries enter what he described as a new phase in their bilateral relationship. He also recognized the efforts of the Paz Administration in Bolivia to promote economic stability and strengthen commercial ties with the United States.

Landau further noted the importance of Bolivia’s steps to realign its foreign relationships toward democratic allies committed to supporting Bolivia’s prosperity.

"The Deputy Secretary underscored the United States’ commitment to supporting Bolivia as our bilateral relationship enters a new phase.  Deputy Secretary Landau also commended the Paz Administration’s efforts to promote economic stability, strengthen commercial ties with the United States, and realign Bolivia’s foreign relationships towards democratic allies that are committed to Bolivia’s prosperity," said Pigott.

The meeting reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between both countries and signals continued cooperation on issues related to economic development and international partnerships.
