Subcommittee schedules hearing on stakeholder input for Water Resources Development Act of 2026

The Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee will hold a hearing to start the development of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2026. Chairman Mike Collins (R-GA) announced that the session is scheduled for December 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET in the Rayburn House Office Building.

The hearing, titled “Water Resources Development Act of 2026: Stakeholder Priorities,” will give members an opportunity to hear from various water resources stakeholders. Local officials, levee district managers, and other representatives are expected to share their priorities for the upcoming legislation.

Witnesses scheduled to testify include Julie Ufner, President and CEO of the National Waterways Conference; Charles Camillo, Executive Vice President of the Midwest Flood Control Association; Bryan Jones, President of the Mid-Atlantic Division at HNTB; and Noel Hacegaba, Chief Operating Officer at the Port of Long Beach in California.

Chairman Collins stated that more information about the hearing—including a full witness list, submitted testimony, and a link to a live webcast—will be made available as it is released.
