U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) used its official Twitter account on December 15, 2025, to share information about its IMAGE program and highlight the agency's mission and personnel.
In a tweet posted at 14:02 UTC, ICE encouraged business owners to participate in its IMAGE program by stating: "Business owners can sign up with ICE’s IMAGE program to learn about workforce compliance, including:
I-9 requirements
Employment eligibility verification
ICE is not currently visiting businesses that are part of our IMAGE program – we trust that they’re compliant.

Later the same day at 15:54 UTC, ICE posted another message emphasizing the dedication of its employees across generations: "TWO GENERATIONS OF ICE!
'All we want to do is create a safer America.'
Defend the Homeland isn't just a slogan — it's a calling.
We're proud of the fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers who have joined ICE and dedicated their lives to keeping their fellow countrymen SAFE! https://t.co/SWxOLOUaJB" (December 15, 2025).
A third post at nearly the same time contained only a link: "https://t.co/W8sfJRP9z1" (December 15, 2025).
The IMAGE program referenced by ICE stands for "ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers." It is designed as a voluntary partnership between government agencies and private employers to promote best practices in hiring procedures and ensure compliance with employment eligibility laws. Through participation in this initiative, businesses receive education on proper I-9 documentation processes and employment verification standards. The agency has stated that companies enrolled in IMAGE are considered trustworthy regarding workforce compliance measures.
ICE operates under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an enforcement agency responsible for investigating immigration violations as well as enforcing federal laws governing border control, customs, trade, and immigration.
