Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Qatari Minister of State Dr. Mohammed Al Khulaifi in Washington, D.C., during the seventh U.S.-Qatar Strategic Dialogue. The meeting focused on reaffirming the strength of the bilateral relationship between the United States and Qatar.
According to Principal Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott, "Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with Qatari Minister of State Dr. Mohammed Al Khulaifi today on the sidelines of the seventh U.S.-Qatar Strategic Dialogue in Washington, D.C. The Deputy Secretary and Minister Al Khulaifi reaffirmed the strength of the U.S.-Qatar bilateral relationship and discussed opportunities to further deepen cooperation across a range of shared priorities."
Pigott added, "The Deputy Secretary expressed appreciation for Qatar’s partnership in advancing stability around the world and underscored the United States’ commitment to continue close collaboration with Qatar to promote peace and prosperity."
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen diplomatic ties and work together on issues related to regional stability.
