U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced the arrest of several individuals described as criminal illegal aliens, including those convicted of serious offenses such as aggravated sexual assault of a child, forcible rape, strangulation, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, “ICE law enforcement officers are sending criminal illegal aliens where they should have been all along – HOME for the holidays. Just yesterday, ICE arrested convicted pedophiles, rapists, and violent assailants. In a historic year of record-breaking achievements under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS law enforcement arrested more than 605,000 illegal aliens—70% of ICE arrests have been charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. This is just the beginning.”

Among those arrested were Jose Oscar Marquez-Ayala from El Salvador, convicted in Harris County, Texas for aggravated sexual assault of a child; Marlon Ramirez-Medina from Honduras, convicted in Los Angeles, California for forcible rape; Esteban Silva-Garcia from Mexico, convicted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child; Jose Garza from Mexico, convicted in Floresville, Texas for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; and Arturo Rodriguez from Mexico, convicted in South Oroville, California for theft and possession of controlled substances or paraphernalia.

ICE reported that these arrests are part of ongoing efforts to remove individuals who have committed crimes while present unlawfully in the United States.
