U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported a series of enforcement actions and outreach efforts in tweets posted on December 17, 2025. The agency detailed arrests involving individuals accused or convicted of serious crimes and promoted collaboration with local law enforcement.
On December 17, ICE announced the arrest of Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar, stating: "ICE HSI arrested Alis Deyvi Goris-Andujar with help from MPD and the @VSPPIO. This Dominican criminal illegal alien was reportedly selling cocaine at a VA barber shop. ICE also found two illegal firearms at his residence. He’ll stay in our custody pending removal proceedings." The tweet highlights cooperation between Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and the Virginia State Police Public Information Office (@VSPPIO).
Later that day, ICE shared another enforcement update: "ICE @ERONewOrleans arrested Leonidas Contreras-Lopez, an illegal alien from Guatemala convicted of RAPE. Contreras-Lopez is just one of the many sex offenders recently arrested by ICE. We’re targeting the worst of the worst to make our neighborhoods safe". The post referenced ongoing efforts by ICE’s New Orleans field office to apprehend individuals with convictions for sexual offenses.
In a separate tweet on December 17, ICE encouraged partnerships with local agencies: "When your agency partners with ICE, you keep your community safer and get resources like: • Free ICE 287(g) training • Access to federal resources Visit our 287(g) web page to learn more." This message promoted the benefits available through participation in ICE’s 287(g) program, which allows designated local law enforcement officers to collaborate directly with federal immigration authorities.
The 287(g) program enables selected state and local law enforcement personnel to receive specialized training from ICE, granting them certain immigration enforcement powers under federal supervision. This partnership aims to enhance public safety by leveraging both local knowledge and federal resources.
