House committee to launch hearings on artificial intelligence readiness

The House Committee on Education and Workforce, led by Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI), is set to begin a series of hearings on artificial intelligence. The first session, titled “Building an AI-Ready America,” will take place tomorrow at 10:15 a.m. in room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Witnesses scheduled to testify include Ms. Chaya Nayak, Head of Certifications and Jobs Platform at OpenAI; Mr. Adeel Khan, Founder & CEO of MagicSchool AI; Ms. Alexandra Reeve Givens, President & CEO of the Center for Democracy & Technology; and Mr. Kevin Frazier, AI Innovation & Law Fellow at the University of Texas Law School.

The hearing is open to the press and will be live-streamed on the Committee’s YouTube page.
