The House Committee on Energy and Commerce has scheduled a series of meetings this week, including two subcommittee hearings and a full committee markup session.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:15 AM ET, the committee will convene in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building to consider 11 bills during a full committee markup.
The following day, Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing at 9:45 AM ET in the same location. The hearing aims to engage with health insurance companies about key factors that hinder health care affordability. Topics for discussion include government regulations, administrative requirements, waste, fraud and abuse in the system, as well as issues related to competition and patient choice.
Later that day at 2:00 PM ET, also in Room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Environment will host a hearing focused on legislative efforts to update America’s Chemical Safety Law.
These sessions are part of ongoing efforts by the committee to address current policy challenges in healthcare and environmental safety.
