Koikoi Trading Inc. has announced a recall of its FU ZHOU FISH BALL products due to undeclared wheat and sesame allergens. The affected items, sold under the YABA brand, come in 200g, 400g, and 5LB packages. These products were distributed through foodservice and e-commerce channels and may have reached consumers in several states including California, Washington, Oregon, New York, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado.

The recall was initiated after it was found that some packaging did not declare the presence of wheat and sesame in the ingredient statement or allergen declaration. According to Koikoi Trading Inc., "This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)."

No illnesses related to this issue have been reported so far.

Consumers who are allergic or sensitive to wheat or sesame are advised not to consume these products due to the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions. Foodservice customers are instructed to stop using the affected items immediately and segregate any remaining inventory with a “Hold – Recall” label.

Customers seeking return or replacement instructions can contact Koikoi Trading Inc. at 323-588-9888 during business hours or by email at info@koikoitrading.com.

The recall applies to all units within their respective 24-month shelf lives for each package size. Consumers should check the UPC codes and best-by dates on their packages to determine if their product is included in the recall.
