U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported that it arrested several individuals over the weekend who had been convicted of serious crimes, including aggravated sexual assault, homicide, and drug trafficking. The agency stated that these arrests involved people in the country illegally with prior convictions for offenses such as sexual abuse of children, automobile homicide, child endangerment, and distribution of controlled substances.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “President Trump and Secretary Noem empowered ICE law enforcement to enforce the law and arrest and remove public safety threats from our country. Over the weekend, ICE law enforcement arrested pedophiles, murderers, and drug traffickers from American communities. If you come to our country illegally, break our laws, we will find you, we will arrest you, and you will NEVER return.”

Among those arrested were Martin Martinez-Gaspar from Mexico for continuous sexual abuse of a child in Los Angeles; Jose Ivan Trevino from Mexico for aggravated sexual assault of an elderly or disabled person in Texas; Toua Lo from Laos for lewd acts with a child under 14 in California; Alejandro Saucedo from Mexico for indecent liberties with a child in North Carolina; Angel Eduardo Valadez-Lozano from Mexico for automobile homicide in Utah; Dario Solis-Salvador from Guatemala for two counts of child endangerment in Kansas; Julio Cesar Pimentel-German from the Dominican Republic for fentanyl trafficking and firearm possession in Massachusetts; Marino Estrada-De La Vega from Mexico for distribution of a controlled substance in California; Victor Martin Alvarez-Vera from Mexico for multiple offenses including DUI and theft in Kansas; Isidro Velasquez-Rodas and Abel Hernandez-Espinal from Honduras both convicted of deadly conduct in Texas; Carlos Cortez-Aquino from Mexico for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Florida; Ever Alonso Gonzalez-Mendoza from Mexico for burglary tools possession and second-degree assault resulting in serious injury in Colorado; Fernando Sandoval-Cruz from Mexico for assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) in California; and Carlos Enrique Benito-Gutierrez from Guatemala for theft by unlawful taking in Pennsylvania.
