The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reported the recent arrests of several individuals identified as criminal illegal aliens across the United States. The arrests, carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), involved individuals convicted of crimes such as sex offenses, attempted murder, drug trafficking, and money laundering.

According to Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, “While sanctuary politicians released criminals from their jails directly back into our communities to commit more crimes and create more American victims, our law enforcement officers were risking their lives to arrest murderers, sex offenders, and drug traffickers. For the safety of every American, we need all states and local jurisdictions to work with us to make America safe again. 7 of the 10 safest cities in the U.S. cooperate with ICE.”

Among those arrested was Yukai Yang from China, who was convicted of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangering in Easton, Pennsylvania. Pedro Zayas-Rodriguez from Cuba was convicted for dangerous drug possession, robbery with intent to kill or maim or wound, and assault on a peace officer across five counties in two states.

Miguel Angel Velazquez-Martinez from Mexico was convicted of aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine or cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and driving under the influence in Oklahoma City. Another individual from Mexico, Diego Carranza-Analco, was convicted of money laundering in Nacogdoches County, Texas. William Barragan from Ecuador was convicted of a criminal sexual act in Bronx, New York.

The DHS has made additional information about these arrests available at WOW.DHS.gov.
