U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced the recent arrest of several individuals convicted of serious crimes, including murder, involuntary manslaughter, assault, and drug trafficking. The arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts to remove individuals deemed threats to public safety.
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented on the situation, stating: “While sanctuary politicians play Russian roulette with American lives by releasing criminals from their jails without notifying ICE back into our communities, our law enforcement officers are risking their lives to arrest these public safety threats. Just yesterday, DHS arrested multiple murderers, violent assailants, and drug traffickers. We will not let anything slow us down from getting criminals out of American neighborhoods.”
Among those arrested were Osvaldo Rivero-Ledesma from Cuba, convicted of murder in Rusk County, Texas; Pablo Caballero from Honduras, convicted of murder in Mineola, New York; Luis Enrique Barrios-Ixcolin from Guatemala, convicted of involuntary manslaughter and carrying a loaded firearm in San Francisco, California; Andres Linares-Cardenas from Cuba, convicted of assault in New York City; and Carlos Quintero-Palafox from Mexico, convicted for possession with intent to distribute crystal meth in Kansas City, Missouri.
ICE encourages the public to learn more about these cases and other similar arrests at WOW.DHS.gov.
