U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) highlighted a series of recent drug seizures by officers at the Nogales port of entry in Arizona, according to a thread posted on February 13, 2026, from the agency's official X account.

In its first post, CBP reported: "A thread on some of the recent and outstanding smuggling busts by our Nogales CBP OFO officers. Up first, we have roughly 111,200 fentanyl pills and over 95 lbs. of meth seized during a vehicle inspection on January 20th." The agency continued in a subsequent tweet: "More fentanyl, approximately 21,000 pills worth , was seized from a pedestrian traveler on January 27th."

The same day as the latter seizure, CBP stated that another vehicle inspection resulted in additional narcotics being found: "On the same day, a vehicle inspection led to the discovery of over 124,000 fentanyl pills and more than 17 lbs. of fentanyl powder."

These announcements come amid ongoing efforts by U.S. authorities to address surges in illicit drug trafficking at border crossings such as Nogales. Fentanyl and methamphetamine remain central concerns for law enforcement due to their potency and impact on public health.
