The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has introduced a new Influencer Program, which replaces its previous Surrogate Program. The initiative is designed to utilize the voices of engaged NAR members to share real estate insights through social media, local media outlets, and peer communications.

Participants in the Influencer Program are kept informed on important topics affecting real estate, including advocacy efforts, market changes, and industry priorities. These influencers help highlight the contributions that REALTORS make for their clients and communities while also promoting the value of NAR membership.

“Through member feedback, we heard a call for a program title that better reflects what our influencers do day in and day out,” said NAR Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Bennett Richardson. “The NAR Influencer Program more clearly describes the roles and responsibilities of being an influencer—being a trusted voice to elevate REALTORS, share timely, consumer-friendly information, and help shape conversations about real estate in communities nationwide. The name is new, but the mission is the same: make it easy for members to stay informed and engage with confidence.”

NAR provides influencers with resources to support their activities. These include talking points on industry issues framed for consumers, a weekly newsletter featuring curated content for social sharing, and quarterly conference calls for updates and networking.
