Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane J. Sabatino has recently highlighted several enforcement actions and initiatives undertaken by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through her official social media account.
On March 16, 2026, Sabatino shared details about CBP’s participation at a major industry event: "CBP’s Agriculture Canine Enforcement program presented at CattleCon26 to highlight K9s' role in protecting US cattle from foreign animal diseases. Prevention starts at the border. @CBP is proud to partner with the cattle industry for a safer, stronger ag sector! #OFOProud https://t.co/93NdDdHXnx". The Agriculture Canine Enforcement program deploys specially trained dogs to detect prohibited agricultural products and pests at U.S. ports of entry, helping prevent the introduction of diseases that could threaten domestic livestock.
Later that day, Sabatino reported on an interdiction effort at a border crossing: "Stopped at the Port: Backseat Concealment. Frontline Detection.
CBP officers at the San Ysidro POE seized 17.19 pounds of cocaine hidden beneath a vehicle’s backseat. After a roving K9 alert, officers uncovered seven vacuum-sealed packages during secondary inspection.

On March 17, 2026, Sabatino posted about an enforcement action related to trade compliance: "CBP trade specialists in the San Francisco Field Office recovered $2M after uncovering tariff evasion schemes involving imported wearing apparel. The enforcement action targeted 107 violators across 161 shipments, recovering unpaid duties.

These posts reflect CBP's multi-faceted mission spanning agriculture protection, drug interdiction, and trade enforcement—key components of national security and economic integrity.
