Chairman James Comer of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform issued a subpoena to Attorney General Pam Bondi on Mar. 17, requiring her to appear for a deposition regarding the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein investigation and compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The committee approved a motion to issue the subpoena before it was formally sent by Comer. The cover letter accompanying the subpoena has been made available by the committee.
In addition to the subpoena, Attorney General Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche are scheduled to provide members of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform with a private briefing on Wednesday, March 18.
The actions taken by Chairman Comer reflect ongoing congressional oversight into high-profile investigations and transparency measures related to the Epstein case. The committee’s efforts aim to ensure accountability within federal agencies regarding sensitive investigations.
Further developments may follow as Bondi responds to the subpoena and participates in upcoming briefings.
