Salvadoran national sentenced for unlawful reentry in Bryan County, Oklahoma

Wilson Vladmir Menjivar Sibrian, a Salvadoran national unlawfully present in Bryan County, Oklahoma, was sentenced to time served for one count of unlawful reentry of a removed alien, according to an announcement by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma on Mar. 24.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address illegal immigration and enforce immigration laws. The investigation involved the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Sibrian pleaded guilty to the charge on December 3, 2025. Investigators said that on November 17, 2025, Sibrian was found in the United States without having obtained permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission after being previously removed from the country on November 20, 2018.

This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America. The initiative aims to use all available resources within the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration issues and combat cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.

The sentencing hearing was presided over by Chief Judge Raúl M. Arias-Marxuach of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, who sat by assignment. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan represented the government during these proceedings.
