The House Committee on Small Business announced its updated schedule for hearings in April, according to an April 9 statement.

The committee's hearing schedule is important for those interested in tax policy, entrepreneurship, and the impact of new technologies on small businesses. The topics reflect current issues affecting small business owners and workers.

The first full committee hearing, titled “Lower Taxes, Stronger Main Street: The Benefits of the Working Families Tax Cuts,” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. It will take place in the Hearing Room at 2360 Rayburn House Office Building.

A second full committee hearing, “Independent Work, Real Opportunity: The Gig Economy and the Future of Entrepreneurship,” is set for Tuesday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m., also in the same location.

An additional subcommittee hearing by the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development Subcommittee was planned under the title “Main Street Meets Crypto: What Digital Assets Mean for Small Businesses.” However, this event has been postponed until further notice.

These hearings provide lawmakers with opportunities to discuss policies that affect small businesses nationwide. Further updates regarding rescheduling or changes are expected from the committee.
