Blueroot Health announced on April 10 that it is expanding its voluntary recall of Vital Nutrients Aller-C dietary supplements due to the possible presence of undeclared egg, hazelnut, and soy. The expanded recall now includes all product made from lot 25E04, in addition to previously recalled lots 25E04-A and 25E04-B.
The company said people with allergies or severe sensitivity to these ingredients could be at risk for serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the affected product. This action is important because consumers may not be aware that these allergens are present in the supplement.
According to Blueroot Health, Aller-C was distributed nationwide through VitalNutrients.co and other online retailers. The recalled supplement comes in white plastic bottles containing either 100 or 200 capsules. All bottles from lot numbers 25E04, 25E04-A, and 25E04-B with an expiration date of May 2027 are included in the recall. These products were distributed between September 2025 and March 2026.
The company said routine internal testing discovered the presence of egg, hazelnut, and soy allergens. Blueroot Health promptly reported its findings to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There have been no reports of illness related to this product so far.
Consumers who purchased any affected products are urged to stop using them immediately and return them to Blueroot Health for a replacement. For questions or concerns, customers can contact Blueroot Health by phone at (888) 328-9992 Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 7:00pm or by email at support@vitalnutrients.co.
