Grassley Receives Award for Child Support Work

News Release: WASHINGTON -- Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, has received an award for assisting “disadvantaged children who are legally and morally entitled to child support payments." The award is the Golden Heart Award for 2003 and is from the Association for Children for Enforcement of Support, which describes itself as the largest child support self-help group in the United States.


News Release: WASHINGTON - Governmental Affairs Committee Ranking Member Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., Monday pressed Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham to conduct a review of the volatile petroleum markets, as oil supplies grow tight and prices at the gas pump hit near two-year highs. In a letter dated Feb. 24, 2003, Lieberman also sought assurances that the Bush Administration was prepared to respond to supply disruptions that might occur as a result of developments in the Persian Gulf.
