BLM releases environmental assessment for May oil and gas lease sale

News Release: CANON CITY, Colo. - The BLM Royal Gorge Field Office today released a preliminary environmental assessment analyzing the proposed sale of oil and gas leases on 42 parcels totaling 10,980 acres of public mineral estate in Adams, Arapahoe, Logan, Morgan and Weld counties. As part of the environmental review process BLM Colorado is also analyzing an additional seven parcels totaling 2,000 acres for lease reinstatement.

News Release: Zachary G. Knigge, 23, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Nancy D. Freudenthal on Nov. 12, 2014, for unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. Knigge was arrested in Casper, Wyoming. He received 24 months imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
