Felon Sentenced for Possessing Firearms

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Michael A. Raskie, 36, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to three years in federal prison for possessing firearms as a convicted felon. Raskie pleaded guilty to this charge on Jan. 14, 2019. His prison term will be followed by a three-year period of supervised release.


News Release: A federal grand jury returned a two-count indictment charging Rafael Ernesto Dones Rosa, 33, of Youngstown, with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and use of the mail in causing or facilitating the commission of a felony.

News Release: WICHITA, KAN. - Danny Chapman, 68, Wichita, Kan., was sentenced today to two years on supervised probation for operating a gambling business and failing to pay income taxes on the proceeds, U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said. In addition, Chapman agreed to forfeit more than $1.6 million in cash, as well as cars, jewelry and other items.

DEA and Partners Hold 17th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

News Release: Anchorage, Alaska - This Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its local law enforcement and community partners will collect expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications at 19 collection sites throughout Alaska. The service is free of charge, no questions asked. Last October, residents of Alaska turned in 3,977 pounds (2 tons) of prescription medications.

Florida Residents Charged with Armed Robbery of Wethersfield Bank

Turner, Special Agent in Charge of the New Haven Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Wethersfield Police Chief James Cetran today announced that a federal grand jury in Hartford returned an indictment yesterday charging SAMUEL NEATHERY, 29, and DAISY FELIBERTY, 35, both of Florida, with robbing a Wethersfield bank at gunpoint in December 2018.
