State Department publishes notice on April 25

The US State Department published a one page notice on April 25, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on Determined Under Section 620(q) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as Amended, and Section 512 of the Foreign Operations, Export Financing, and Related Programs Appropriations Act of 2006, as Carried Forward Under the Continuing Resolution (Pub. L. 110-5), as Amended, Relating to Assistance to the Republic of Somalia.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
