Volume 143, No. 141 covering the 1st Session of the 105th Congress (1997 - 1998) was published by the Congressional Record.

The Congressional Record is a unique source of public documentation. It started in 1873, documenting nearly all the major and minor policies being discussed and debated.

INVALIDATED TEAMSTER ELECTION

Committee on Education and the Workforce: On October 15, the Committee continued hearings on the Invalidated 1996 Teamster Election. Testimony was heard from John C. Kenney, Acting Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, Department of Justice; and public witnesses.

On October 14, the Committee began hearings on this subject. Testimony was heard from public witnesses.

COLOMBIAN DRUG TRAFFICKING OPERATION

Committee on the Judiciary: October 16, Subcommittee on Crime held a hearing regarding focusing on the anatomy of a Colombian drug trafficking operation in the United States. Testimony was heard from a

``Mr. Rodriguez'', former member, New York Branch, Medellin Cartel.

OVERSIGHT--DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

Committee on the Judiciary, On October 15, the Committee held an oversight hearing on the Department of Justice. Testimony was heard from Janet Reno, Attorney General.
