CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS ISSUES; OVERSIGHT--OFFICE OF INSULAR AFFAIRS
Committee on Resources: Approved a motion to sustain rulings by Chairman Don Young on objections to the production of records subject to subpoenas issued by Chairman Don Young under the authority of a resolution adopted by the Committee on Resources on June 9, 1999, which objections were raised by Robert A. Berman, Henry M. Banta, Danielle Brian Stockton, Keith Rutter, and the Project on Government Oversight.
The Committee also held an oversight hearing on Office of Insular Affairs, U.S. Department of the Interior. Testimony was heard from the following officials of the Department of the Interior: Earl E.
