U.S. Department of Labor Announces Ruth Burns Sherlock As Regional Representative for Atlanta Office

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced that Ruth Burns Sherlock has been named Regional Representative for its Atlanta Regional Office.

“The U.S. Department of Labor is committed to working with state and local governments and organizations to create more opportunities for America’s workers,” U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Patrick Pizzella said. “Regional Representatives ensure that our partnerships with communities throughout the region remain strong and productive while we pursue policies that encourage economic growth.” Most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Sherlock Strategy Group, Sherlock previously served as the Marketing Director for BE&K Government Group. Her background also includes working for the Greenville Hospital System as well as the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy. Sherlock received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.

The mission of the Department of Labor is to foster, promote, and protect the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights.
