U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today issued a statement on leading a U.S. government delegation to Ukraine next week.

"I am honored that President Obama asked me to lead a U.S. delegation to Kyiv next week to meet with some of Ukraine's senior government officials and with American companies currently in the market. As America's chief commercial diplomat, my trip will focus on learning about the particular challenges facing American companies in the country and on helping Ukraine implement the reforms necessary to improve the business climate, attract private capital, expand opportunity, and strengthen the economy, now and in the future. My message will be clear: sustainable economic and commercial growth is a gateway to long-term political stability for the people of Ukraine - and the United States is here to help."
