U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today issued the following statement on Veterans Day.

“Today, we honor all of America’s veterans who have proudly served our country, as well as those men and women of the Armed Services who are currently placing their lives in danger both at home and abroad to protect our nation. The actions of these brave men and women have changed the course of history, touched lives and spread freedom and democracy to nations around the world. As Americans, we owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to our veterans who, during peace and war, have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to our nation. I would like to personally thank all our veterans, especially those who serve as part of the civilian workforce here at the U.S. Department of Commerce. We thank you for your continued service to our country and your contributions to the nation.”
